What I like the most about helping someone with their wardorbe is the happiness in their faces when they see that they can look great with the clothes they already have. There is no need to buy new clothes, because surely among all the clothes they have they also have things that they love and make them feel fabulous.
And that's what I did with Heather. My client who is days away from turning 50 and ready to show herself to the world again. Every time I met her, she wore black or dark blue. Imagine my surprise when I opened her closet and found colour and pattern everywhere!
Heather watched nervously as I took all of her clothes out of the closet and put them on the bed. We started the process by doing a de-clutter: what she doesn't like or doesn't fit and summer clothes all went into boxes because winter has arrived in Sydney ☃.
As we put the closet in order and once we had seen all the garments, we began to put together different looks. We did 33 looks, which were elevated with Heather's amazing necklace collection.
I enjoy seeing people who feel good with how they look, regardless of the shape of their bodies. But above all, I enjoy helping people find happiness in the simple things - one of them being getting dressed every morning.
